  • the magnet musst be near the sensor it ddoesn't matter how far up or down

it measures rpm ...hom many times the magnet passes by in a minute ... the computer then multiplies that by wheel circumfrence ( diameter x Pi) to find out linear distance traveled

  • if u install it closer to wheel it will go faster if farder it will go faster but that is useless since the computer program works wth your wheels size... this means that it doesnt matter where you put ir your computer only counts how many times it goes by and does the math with the wheel size.. yourwelcome =)

  • Nice beard

  • @spikeyeyerish man...when i set the diameter i put diameter+the tyre?

  • dude first of all you need to take off your hat, then tell your camera man to learn to ZOOM IN

  • You forgot to tightent the screw on the spoke magnet, what a dumbass

  • @scooby1971 i was like..14 back then.

  • I have a wireless speedo will this still work if I set it up on my rear wheel ?

  • @cro508 May I ask, did you even bother to calibrate it? Because that will explain why the speed/distance calculations were off. The most important things that need to be done with these speedometers is to set the correct wheel size and to set the time, otherwise, the speed and distance calculations will not be correct. Every speedometer I've ever owned has been accurate. That includes analog and digital (wired and wireless)

  • @scooby1971 well it was on a mountain bike which had a big fat off road tires so yeah. i mean it was around 50, but not over 60 or 70.

  • @cro508 Unrealistic? 60 Km/h is about 36 mph and that's unrealistic? Sure it is! I got my bike up to 38 mph (63 km/h) with about a 35 mph tailwind on a downhill slope! If you still believe that speed was wrong then perhaps you didn't calibrate the speedometer properly. These devices are very accurate when *PROPERLY* calibrated.

  • @scooby1971 i remember getting one for around $40 and down hill it would show me over 60km/h, which wasn't a realistic speed.
