People generally understand that Jack Sparrow didn't really captain a ship or that Lara Croft isn't an actual archaeologist, but they still like to see these characters in action. People go crazy for actors for the same reason they go crazy for video games. It's fun escapism.

Come on you want me to say that twilight fans just go crazy beacuse of the artistic power of the actors and beacuse of their awsome performance!? The most people dont giva shit about such things because they dont unterstand it.
