@ilyForever831 hmm thats interesting lolol. for ppl in these uniforms theyre varsity spirit and it says in the brochure that its consisted of captains/co-captains/officers, and for spirit of america dance team thats where they have other dancers (if that made sense). maybe youre thinking about all american team? cuz i know for that you get chosen =/
sorry if that came out harsh in any way. im just confused as to how ur friend got in if its specifically for captains ahha :P

@littlejennyss theyre not all captains. my friend is going and shes not captain of our team. the camptain didnt even get chosen to go.

i was in that parade and the girl who fell (dinah) was the person in charge of my group.
she a KICK ASS cheerleader, she was in one of the bring it on movies and she's been on magazine covers for her cheering.

@elizabethX3 i was in this in 2008 and no they don't pick a team. you get to go if you're a captain or get picked at camp like i did. and like @liitlejennyss said its all staff people doing the stunts anyway and it is in no way funny. those routines are practiced for hours and hours and she had to be embarassed so i feel bad for her!

actually for this specific parade, these performers are all captains from high school cheerleading/songleading squads, or dance/drill teams. The cheer stunts in the back are all staff members from either UCA/USA/NCA,etc.
I was in this group for the 2010 parade so I know ;)
And the stunt falling was not funny.

Wow. All of you who are laughing at this, it is not funny and I'd like to see you try to do that! These people are amazing and who ever says cheerleading is not a sport, then they are stupid and have never ever seen real cheerleaders before! :P
