Um.. let's say that I know the driver of the IS350 very personally. the 350z is a 06. at the time of the race, the is350 had the joez intake, that's it. the 350z had exhaust, headers, intake, and a new flywheel... and it still lost. hahaha

I've heard reports from many owners that replacing the intake with an aftermarket in the IS actually gives a negative impact in performance, losing low-end torque so it ends up running slower than a stock IS350. The IS is already very well optimized from the factory stock intake system. The Z on the other hand, benefits well from mods. And like you said, that 350z got severely modded and still got lost to an IS350. Funny indeed, lol. Btw, thanks for answering my questions. :-)
