Europe is in turmoil. The lands are fragmented into petty fiefs, and the Holy Father has declared war on the Holy Land. Now is the time for greatness, for cunning and for political intrigue. Assuming you're not the sort of king who thinks the mongol hordes were alright, right up until they released their second album.

"Crusader Kings II is the most anticipated strategy title Paradox Interactive has ever released," said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox. "The original game, with its unique focus on human failings and politics, earned the game a huge cult following that includes myself. That same focus on personalities makes it the perfect game for a live action trailer while we're putting the finishing touches on the game itself."

"With each trailer covering one of the seven deadly sins as well as an aspect of Crusader Kings II, we were recently informed by a classification board that the trailers are technically edutainment, which was obviously a huge blow to us. Don't tell the kids."

Ben Barber of 4am Films, creator of the trailers, had this to say: "Historical accuracy was obviously hugely important to us. For example, I think our director read a book before we began filming. Also, this second trailer was actually shot in England, which is a country from history."

"All the other trailers were shot in England too, come to think of it," added Ben.
