Israel's controversial security fence is dividing much more than just the land itself. Even in Israel, there's a wide range of opinion as to whether the wall is justified.

Hani Amer's property lies between two walls. On one side an 8m-high concrete wall cuts him off from his village. On the other, a wire fence separates him from the Israeli settlement. "We see nobody and nobody sees us like in jail. The wall grabbed the land and grabbed us with it," explains Hani's son. Losing land has, for many, meant the loss of livelihoods. Villagers in Mas Ha claim they've lost 97% of their land. But they're not the only people protesting. A small band of young Israelis regularly joins them to campaign against the wall. At one protest, an activist is shot by an Israeli soldier. "Is this security? Shooting at us?" questions one activist in disbelief. Whilst these Israelis are in a minority, even the fence's supporters accept that it should have been built along existing borders. "If they had built it on the armistice line, no one would have opposed it," states Israeli Zvi Ginsberg. Unfortunately, it's planned route means that for Palestinians like Hani, the wall spells only disaster. As Hani's wife confides: "When I look at the wall, I feel the world has ended."

  • but seriously who does this... who ignores international protocol and condemnation and just builds a wall through someone's territory?

  • @celltechlars The Court responds to the question as follows:

    “A. By fourteen votes to one, The construction of the wall being built by Israel, the occupying Power, in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including in and around East Jerusalem, and its associated régime, are contrary to international law”;

  • When Israel attacks Iran we should boycott anything Israeli. Also we should recall all ZIonist card carrying members of the state of Israel who are US Congressman/Women and Senators that voted for the NDAA, as 5th column elements that seek to overthrow the USA. To end Israeli power you would need to end the Federal Reserve, owned by Israeli Mafia. USA knows about the USS LIberty, and 9-11-01. Their agents are the Bush family and the Rockefellers, DuPonts...all criminals.

  • @Mikeybetts haha or the fighting against the wall because it's being built through their homes... i think you'd fight that as well... would be pretty irritating

    pretty much the entire world condemns israel and the condemnation is only spreading and becoming stronger. they will fall soon enough and they have it coming

  • this documentary only focusses on the peaceful farmers who are victims of the wall

    it does nothing to highlight the palestinian extremists who only want the wall gone so they wont have anything to stop them from killing as many jews as they can!

  • honestly

    Isreal is handling this all wrong.

    the wall of seperation is an OK idea and all for safety reasons, but they shouldn't do it right through settlements!it bends enough, why not keep it through unoccupied land? sure some jewish settlements would be on the other side of the wall, but they say they get along with the muslims and i'd like to see that.

    isreal has a right to exist and i understand it's agression, but if they built hospitals and not walls, terrorism would be small in comparison

  • @sdfgsgfdghggfhsfghfg In other words, You neither know, nor care. The things You write about here, are perfectly understandable for someone in Your position. But Your position is not only shallow, but also irrelevent. Ouch, that hurt Your youthfull arrogant pride, didn't it. DON"T be offended. I'm not here to make You look like a fool. I'm here to encourage You to become a little wiser. First baby step reg. Israeli subject...Admit (to Yourself) You don't know exactly what is the conflict about.
