October, Eric Whitaker, scored by Paul Lavender, Midway High School Philharmonic Orchestra, preformed at the Woodway First United Methodist Church as this church had great acoustics for recording.

  • I go to this Church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like it with band more, but this is amazing too!!

  • It gives me the chills each time we play it in our orhcestra. Being a string person, I personally find the orchestra arrangement far more beautiful than the original wind version... But that's just me. :]

Lovely, passionate group, here. And yes, incredible acoustics in that church.

By the way, six people don't know true beauty and, unfortunately for them, never will.

  • I believe this must be the most beautiful string arrangement I have ever heard of this song. It was so incredible, it made me cry. The cello solo was amazing also. I'm very excited about learning this for my next concert!

  • Great !! Hello To Deby !! She's my concertino in the LDM Orchestra !!!

  • Im about to go practice right now. And its because of watching this video. Beautiful.

  • This is one of the better string arrangements I've heard of this song. Beautifullllll.

  • That cello solo. So amazing.

One of my favorite pieces of music. I played the wind version of this in an honors band, but I must say, the string is an awesome interpretation.

I must say I prefer the wind version more. I don't think the strings evoke enough power at around 6:20 like a wind ensemble can. Other than that, I freaking LOVE this song. I cried on stage while playing this. It was so emotional. lol
