One gentleman got an F- for stating that Ben kills himself AFTER giving his heart away and still being grief stricken AND for starting his video with "a'ight so this nigger". and then repeating it a few more times in a one minute (grossly inaccurate) review.

Don't be upset though... yours wasn't a bad review. Most so far have been HORRIBLE. Your review was actually pretty good... your take on the subject matter was what mostly flunked out. Thank god you don't review things like poetry or Shakespearean stageplays... thank god most critics don't... you'd miss a lot of context, symbolism and interpretive intent. Well... don't be mad either... you review... I reviewed your review. it got a C/C+... most got D's and F's

"linear"? Just admit you're no smarter than Average McDumbass and say 'It should have been simpler' or some BS.
It actually WAS pretty linear for the most part it was just interspersed flashbacks. The idea was to put you into a feeling of turmoil kinda like Ben was in. They wanted us to become immersed in it all. To care. To wonder. To say "wtf is going on so far?". You may not have panned the movie like most but you didn't get it any better either. I guess what they say about critics is true.

in england organs are donated through a card you'd have in your house or what ever and when youapply for that card the hospital keeps you on record as someone who wants to donate if you want to donate to a specific person im guessing you state that to the hospital

Word of advice, clarify your word of advice.
I don't read other professional reviews because, and you may not believe this, I'm a professional. If you want to lend me $500k USD so I can move out of Kansas and attend press screening in an actual city, or tell the magazine I write for to get me DVD screeners, then be my guest.

Word of advice, never read or listen to a review for a movie you haven't seen yet...especially if it's not from a professional source.

Even though you can predict the ending from like halfway through, it does leave you in the dark till about halfway through. Seriously, for about half of the film I was sitting there going
"Okay, so far I've got...His name is Ben (Even though it's not) and he's gonna kill himself"
Great film 9.5/10

i agree
i agree with you about the call for an ambulance sceen. it would have been so much better without it in the beginning. i enjoyed the acting. its so emotional. i cried through the whole movie. lol. do you know where the "seven pounds" theme comes from. i heard someone say the weight of all the organs he donated equals seven pounds. is this true? also i saw barry peppers character as a lawyer or an appointed trustee of a will. maybe? enjoyed the review.

I've heard two stories. Your take is one. The other comes from Shakespeares "The Merchant of Venice". I believe the latter is more likely the inspiration. Thanks for your comment, more reviews coming soon, with an overhauled presentation, as soon as today (Friday).

Being the recipient of a double lung transplant, I can answer your question about organ donation. The usual process goes by a list. A person dies that is an organ donor and those organs are delivered to the patients that are on top of the list. There are also living donors, giving one kidney, part of your liver, one lung and so on. Then you can contractually have your organs go to someone specifically if you death is imminent. Suicide though would negate any contract of this sort.

Thanks for the information, it confirmed my suspicions.
