This is a brief discussion of palmas for bulerias in response to a discussion over www.foroflamenco.com and it is an attempt to make a distinction between what the palmas in bulerias do versus the often misinterpreted 12,3,6,8,10 or ,7,8,10 accents. The job of the palams is not to provide those standard accents. The palmas are a musical instrument that grooves as a percussion instrument should. I hope it helps to clarify things a bit.
