@hello123321456654 Steppers are form kelling technology. The machine you see in the video is older, I have a new one from aluminum. it used regular threaded rod. There was not much backlash, I never measured it, but it is very accurate. The gantry is wood, it took me 2 months to complete. Everything, WITH electronis is over $1000.00. My NEW machine, was quite more than this, but it is all aluminum, doing 400 IPM. This one, max was about 40 IPM.

I think these are the solsylva plans for the cnc right??? which one of them did you make... is it the 24x48 one???

@hello123321456654 Yes, these are Solylva plans, but since then, he has modified his designs. It is the 24x48 one..exactly.
It was a great little FIRST machine, and it does a good job. Since then, I have build a newer machine, and I am now doing 360IPM, and over 400IPM in rapids...
