I show that the apple bumper does not improve the reception issues.

  • @rellon2246 OHH well not all iphones would be likr that righT? I mean it might also be that the plan OR company you are with...

  • @kenza333 before i knew this was why i started dropping calls i was on the phone with a friend and it dropped 3 times atleast every minute or less because i did not realise that u had to hold it differently or that i was even holding it "wrong". my phone is really sensitive to it i tried with my friends iphone 4 and his drops but slowly mine goes to 0 bars no 3g after holding for a matter of seconds. then goes to searching... which is no service at all...

  • Here's a solution don't waste your money on an iPhone buy a Samsung Galaxy S.

  • Well mine doing the same but it never drops a call and the the voice quality is always the same. So, no problem?

  • dammit

  • honestly if you drop a call i am sure ANYBODY would call back... it is not like it madders that much right?

  • i don't understand why people simply refuse to even acknowledge that there is a design flaw and resort to defenses such as "you're holding it too tight" and "it's att's problem, not apple's." i understand standing behind a company you love, but don't be ridiculous. why do we need to perform finger acrobatics to use a phone?

i'm a big fan of the prior generation of iphones, but it seems like this update was created more for fashion than utilization

  • maybe you're gripping it to hard? :P

  • With no bumper you may loose 20-24db of signal using the worst grip possible. Using a bumper, the loss will be much less but there WILL still be some loss since you are still interfering with the antenna. If your signal is low enough, you may still loose connection. The same effect can be seen on many phones including the Droids and 3GS. I hold my 4 without covering the bottom of the phone and have no problems.

  • uhm... im pretty sure it does help
