This is my first speed run of MegaMan 2 US on the NORMAL difficulty setting. (around 37 minutes)
This is NOT a tool-assisted recording.
Not emulated, it's the real NES cartridge.
It's a one-shot run through the game.
No interruption, no editing or cut.
I made a few mistakes here and there because it's hard to get a perfect run when you play the whole game in one shot but still, it's pretty good. Enjoy! ^_^

  • 9:13 u can quite easily drop to the ledge below using the pause glitch, then jump on the moving platform and to the ladder

  • Yeah you're right. I see what you mean ^_^ Thanks

  • so nice. do u kno how mucha bit slower ur speed run is from the actual perfeted TAS 1? prolly cant b off by much =]

  • Thanks man! My favorite part of the game is beating all 8 bosses again. It's so nice to kick their asses. ( : I don't know about the TAS run time. But yeah it's probably 20-something minutes...

  • 20 MINUTES?! this one was aprox 37.. how can he/she SHED that much time :O.. now im gana go investiage ;) lol.

enjoyd the vid keep up the good work, i almost feel inspired to try a freestyle time attack run on this game myself i usedto be quiet pro.. plus u've given me some ideas to work with to help shave time off of my time challenge.. altho im rusty so i doubt i'd do good at all. although i already just for fun play most games this way after i've gotten bored with beating them all regularWay

  • That's what's great about those old games, you can have fun with them even after beating them countless times. ^_^ About the time, I'm talking about Tool-Assisted recordings. Those are the only ones that can be insanely fast because they use glitches that are not possible to use with a normal controller and human reflexes.

  • Epic music is epic! Dr Wily stage 1!

  • 5:39 :: I can't help but feel the composers ran out of ideas at this point. Too bad, the music up until then was amazing; totally burned into the minds of many NES era gamers.

  • that dragons a puss puss just takes some practice as does the whole game

  • with the quick boomerang it's really easy ^^

  • Me too especially because he just jumps up so quickly and you don't have time to avoid getting killed the first few times. I passed it though! Just jump on the blocks and then jump on the very top of the 3 blocks at the end and shoot him in the head!

  • OMG! I would always have such a damn hard time with that dragon stage.

  • u could also have used the pause glitch to zip across bubbleman's stage feasibly I think

  • I remember the first Wily stage when I was a little kid. I could never beat the stupid dragon...

    Brings back memories.
