We hit the end turn button... a few times! Building up the first ships of the SolForce navy and exploring nearby systems is the order of the day for us.

  • Very good Let'sPlay and also a nice Tutorial. I still have a question about this nice game... how did you manage to get help popups like the one at 6:30 that says "Gamma fleet explored..."?

They would be very useful when the scope of the games starts getting bigger but i can't manage to turn them on.

  • @Trivia89YT This game is packed with helpful features that are never told to you unless you happen to stumble upon them. The news announcement things pop up when you click the scrolling news ticker at the bottom of the screen.

  • The reason you couldn't travel along the long node line at the beginning is that your ship have a maximum range in nodespace (it is in brackets next to the realspace range, eg. 50(12) would be 50 lightyear range or twelve in nodespace).

  • @Cowinspace Yep. As I mention in a later LP (and probably elsewhere too, my memory's bad) it's actually impossible to get out in the middle of a node line. You can only exit at the ends, so even if a fleet has tanking capacity, a ship has to at least be able to make a single transit and get back into normal space to be refueled.

Thank you, just got it off Steam. Still working on developing new planets I colonize. :p

  • @HuntrBlackLuna

Sweet thank you. Last question, I promise.

Does this game have a campiagn?

  • @DarthRalek Yeah. I figure Sins is probably more resource-intensive than this game is. Except the loading screens for battles. Those suck no matter what.

  • @HuntrBlackLuna If my pc can run Sins of a Solar Empire would it be able to run this game even on low settings?

Sorry for all the questions. :p

  • @DarthRalek It takes a while to get it. Not as much as you might think, though; this was like my third or fourth game, and the first one that I carried to completion. It's simple to learn when you get the concepts down, but difficult to master.
