Those new compact fluorescent bulbs each have mercury in them. The next scare will be mercury poisoning after a couple million of those are in the landfills. Bet ya.

I am also concerned about the mercury in those bulbs... and the fact that I have seen no information on how to properly dispose of them... it is great that they save energy, but... is it worth it if they pollute even more than regular bulbs in the end?

@wilberswilbers Use LED light bulbs then more saving if you do economically due to energy efficiency and long life

the power saving bulbs aren't good either. they are produced with a huge amount of energy and may contain poisonous stuff like mercury. I dont trust companies saying everything in our bulbs is fine. think about it! right now im mainly using LED bulbs.
