It's funny to see the real version of this episode 30 years after I've seen the Battle of the Planets version. The story line is similar, but not identical.

Jun entered the contest unwitingly.

In BoTP, it's not clear how Jun lost her shoe either.

In the BoTP version, it was said that if Jun couldn't recover the shoe, she could never transform again.

Awesome. The episode I remember was one I watched when I was a kid, where they went to a ruined city, the woman picked up a baby and it came apart in her hands.

バードスタイルに変形可能な右の靴（青い靴）を失くしちゃったジ­ュン。代わりの靴（赤い靴）を履いてギャラクター基地に潜入し、­靴（青い靴）を取り戻すことに成功したけど、このときバードスタ­イル用の左の靴はどこに隠し持ってたの？　もしかして変わりに履いていた赤い靴の左側は変形可能な青い靴の­上に赤い色を重ね塗りしていたのかな？　じゃぁ、物語終盤、バードスタイルに変身したとき、それまで履い­ていた右足の赤い靴はどこにしまったのだろうか？　そのままギャラクター基地内に置いてきちゃったの？　ウーム、謎の多いジュンの靴である。
