  • Barbara sounds like a great person and I am glad you had someone to turn to in that situation.

  • she is, and thank you!

  • oh god lauren, i have been going through the same medical shit, except with me it's my stomach. i have had such extreme pain in my stomach and i suspect i have some sort of bleeding ulcer or something, but i went to the ER twice in the last few weeks and as soon as i tell them i'm bulimic the doctors just say "yeah, that'll do it" and won't do any tests or anything. so when i've been in pain since then i have these rediculous "should i stay or should i go" debates. anyway i don't think it's dumb

  • yeah, exactly...like if i were a 40 year old man, the SECOND i said "chest pain", i would be admitted...but no, i'm a young girl. ugh.

and i do get the "dumb blonde" look a lot. it sucks!

  • @bestsoylotta yes it is something internal, it's your esophagus. When your esophagus gets inflamed or tears or spasm it can give retrosternal chest pain. most likely your potassium is fine so that's why your ekg is fine. esophageal stuff donesn't show up on an ekg. treatment is to stop vomiting, i know its easier said than done. no vomiting=no chest pain.

  • @bestsoylotta Every time you throw up, it puts your heart and your stomach under extreme stress. Your heart is probably getting very tired. The problem with excessive vomiting is that it CAN lead to heart attack. I hope you feel better.

  • Ive been bulimic for the last two and a half years and Ive been experiencing chest pains, my heart hurts. The doctors gave me an ekg and said my heart beat was fine and normal but I think there is something else theyre missing, is that possible? Im afraid its something internal.

  • u r soo cute u don't have to say anything just stay there and look pretty. but about the chest pains. i been having chest pains lately for the past 3 months but this past week they been increasing. the pains are between 1 to 3 almost per day but they las seconds. I read the those type of pains are not mayor but is always good to get check out to be on the safe side. the only thing is that doctors now days are a rip off and they will try to steal ur money! i hate it!

  • you should be taken seriously..they always tend to downgrade it just because of age they categorize people by there age..dont listen if you dont feel comfortable and your not feeling right don't doubt it at all. Just go, even go to the ER honestly it's better safe then sorry. Right? Plus you wouldn't have to worry and think about it as much.

  • When I went to the doctor the other day I thought of you because they said I have tachardia with a high heart rate and was unaware I even had this issue and they said it's from dehydration and low potassium...could you possibly tell me more about this

  • Doctors infuriate me. I get chest pains and have trouble breathing sometimes at night because of anxiety, but I only think that because a doctor barely looked at me and said that's what it was (anxiety). I'm in the same boat you are, like what if it's serious? Hello, eating disorders can cause hella damage! Ugh, I hate doctors.

I'm so jealous of your house!

  • That's an interesting relationship you have with your dietitian. She must really like you. I have a really special relationship with my therapist too. Although we don't hang out together. She's really amazing and I would be dead without her. I'm glad you have Barbara. My therapist's name is Karen. Good luck with everything.

  • very pretty house :) hope you feel better!!

  • Oh honey, you worry me. Try to take best care xoxo
