  • now those are some enchiladas! especially with the Oaxaca cheese. i'm very proud to be mexican-american, living in california.

  • @pweinberger55

    Try watching the video.

  • "The American's nicked this land from the Mexican's" . . . way to completely reduce decades of complicated history to that, especially when the British and French were eyeing California for themselves. This is why the world is in the state that it is currently in. No one knows anything about history anymore.

  • There were literally hundreds of other places Jamie could have visited all over the U.S He never really got to the heartland or contrasted big cities with small towns. There is so much more to Americans then his show showed. I'm know he was looking for distinctive places with distinctive foods. So many places he could have gone. Chicago for instance. Minnesota. first to the Mall of America and then to some of the quaint old towns, could have tried some (bleah) lutefisk. lol Adam Rick did.

  • (Cont.) 4. The Ghost Town Bloods are from Wilmington -- in South L.A. far from Boyle Heights, East L.A. and the other places shown in your "B Roll" footage of latino neighborhoods.

    5. What you cooked is not Huevos Rancheros. It may be some tasty English grub, but it ain't Huevos Rancheros. Your eggs should be fried not scrambled. The tortilla should be cooked in a ranchera sauce. It just looks nothing like Huevos Rancheros. Looks tasty, but.....

  • Where do I start with the non-sense in this video.

    1. Sorry Jaimie - Latinos aren't scary. They are the dominant culture in L.A. and everyone (Latino or not) is fine with it. L.A. has a Latino mayor (and a majority latinos on the city council) because the city is a majority latino.

    2. The Latino neighborhoods are not scary. In fact, there are so many latinos in L.A. it's hard to find a neighborhood that doesn't have a latino presence.

    3. The Bloods and Crips are primarily black gangs.

  • @mariuslupercus did you actually watch the vid?

  • I love Jamie but somehow, passing it off as "cool" to be sympathetic towards drug-selling criminals is disturbing. And calling a gang member a "big man"? Oh my god... what vile propaganda wrapped in nice, wooshy emotions!

  • um ok... warning: dead bodies! thanks jamie! :)

  • "LA used to be Mexico"... which used to be Spain's, which used to be some local tribes. Mexico held the borders Spain conquered for a little over 20 years until America fought and took it. Its old school called "empire building". England, ala Jamie, should know all about that... and if they are relating Mexico to the Aztecs then their borders never came out of central Mexico. This series is so BS with the political crap.
