I always tried not to listen to this song - esp after my grandpa died-I was always right behind him no matter where he went or what he was doing I wanted to be with him,that was almost 20 years ago and I still cant go to his grave with out crying. You did an excellent job with the video and the cover-you have a wonderful voice.

What a song. My dad was not cowboy but he raised me like one. He bought me all my hero cowboy outfits including the boots and guns. He taught me how to shoot, hunt, and most importantly he taught me to be honest! I can't wait to see him again, "THAT SILVER HARIRED DADDY OF MINE!"

Flashback, I am 11 and in my room. dads old cassette radio and randy playing he walked on water as i sang, always made me think of my grandpa and brought tears to my eyes even back then, now almost 18 years later i still choke up and think about grandpa. god bless him and thanks randy for a great song that will last all time..
