everyone has made emo out to be a bad thing. all it means is emotional. this band is considered emo because of the lyrics. it's not all about eye liner and bitterness.

They weren't "post humously" labled "emo". The term "emo" has been used to describe bands like Rites Of Spring since the 80's.

Every decade has a new sub-culture of rebelling teenagers that the mainstream media gives a label to. Sadly (for some reason), the term "emo" has been used to describe this new generation of depressed kids who wear dark colours. It's not actually "emo" though. "Emo" was originally (and still is) what you are now watching...Make sense?
