  • That is sweet, I like her style and she's a great dancer and she's so pretty!! She dances perfect and the way tap should always be danced to jazz or rag time music, not like the way the majority now dancing to modern music and dressed in street clothes nowdays. Georgina is dressed in a nice official tap aparrel and nice shoes, her tap shoes sounds nice, clean and snappy!! Georgina, you go girl!! You got style!!

  • @1979cl1 Thanks for your kind comments :o) She works very hard at it, even after a serious fracture to her leg in January, she is back on good form again.

  • @maisy68 You're very welcome,, She does look like she worked hard to achieve her goal and she is good as Ann Miller. Its good that she's recovered form her injury and that she can still dance,,I just saw her ballet video too and she's wonderful let her know that I gave her my encouragment! This tap video is one of my favorites next to Tia Lonie's tap video!!

  • @1979cl1 Thanks I will be sure to let her know :o)

  • @Caherine88 Thanks for your kind comments. Miss Georgina is going in for surgery on her ankle in a few days so will be out of dancing for a few months much to her disgust.

You are so right in saying that this girl was made to bop along with metal plates on her feet, and thank you for saying so :o)

  • @Caherine88 Also in music has somehting to do with it. I don't mean to sound critical but my ballet teacher told me the same thing when I first asked her a quistion if the song "Mrs Brown You Got a Lovely Daughter" can be a good tune for a tap routine and she told it can be but modern songs songs can make its original art change from its originality but she may not meant it that way because I may still misunderstnd her what she said but at any regard thanks for sharing your opinion!!

  • @Caherine88 Well I'm not saying that tap is being destroyed of the new style is just isn't my favorite by its modernization. I'm a flamenco dancer and I saw videos of todays modernized dancers which nowdays it has some ivolvement of fusion which the old style is not there, its not bad but we don't want the art to lose its originality that was created in the first place. Back to tap I enjoy more of the originality even when I draw art work or cartoons of dancers.

  • @hoikenx pointing your toes in tap isn't a good idea... you need to relax the ankle not tense it up, and pointing the toes will limit the sounds she can make, and how secure her footing is, severely increasing the risk of injury. I think she danced wonderfully :) it seems that young lady was simply made to bop along with metal plates on her feet :)

  • @1979cl1 its not that people are destroying tap or doing it wrong by using the street clothes etc, it's just a new style of tap that has developed over time. I'm 22 and I will happily do classical tap in my leotard and tights or I'll do 'street tap' which incorperates lots of riffs, stomps and drags and often involves baggier clothes, just to match the harsher sounds. It is actually quite difficult. I think it's great that it's developing but that it has still maintained itis originality.
