30 by 40 inches. Acrylic on canvas.

Music: Personal Journalist by Sage Francis.

I drew on the canvas for about a half an hour before filming, then I painted for about a half hour, the next night I painted for about an hour (but the camera filled up and stopped a half hour into it), the last night I painted for another hour, for a grand total of right around three hours.

  • Un-friggin-real. Thanks for sharing your work. Question- When you apply all of the different layers of skin tone/shadow on the face, are you laying down the paint in an opaque manner or do you thin the paint with water or some kind of glazing medium? Would love to know your technique.

  • @TheMark180 On this piece, I'm pretty sure it was all done with paints straight from the bottle.

I do use water and/or floating medium to change the thickness and opacity of the paint. It all depends on the painting though.
