@newyork67 On a percentage basis there are no fewer railwaymen being killed now than there was then. The entire Health and Safety thing is a monster that's out of control and being fed by the empires that have been built on it. Line safety nowadays is dependant on holding a certificate, not being experienced. it's all a legal get-out clause, one day you and others will realise that.

Absolutely brilliant, a time when railways were admirable and interesting, not like nowadays.
Health and safety fine, as long as it does not get to the silly stage like it can do.
Great little film.

Ye lets go back to the good old days when over 500 railway men where killed a year because there was no health & safety to protect them from dangerous working practises, you clown!
