  • I disagree with Rifkins, that marine energy, like wave and tidal, would not be climate change resistant. Especially submarine tidal technologies and floating wave technologies are not affected by changing surface water levels. And there is enough marine energy potential to cover our global energy demand!

  • At last recognition for the conviction that an average concentration of 450 ppm CO2 in the atmosphere will lead to a much higher temperature rise than the 2 degrees we assume acceptable. The insight, that even two degrees would trigger feedback mechanisms in a way, that releases vast amounts of greenhouse gasses and water in the atmosphere, urges us to switch to carbon free energy supply within two decades.
