This day was vaccination day for our dry cows and heifers. This video is posted to show the facility. The cows are given a rest period of 7-8 weeks before calving. The cows pretty much lounge around and do what they want. They have access to the outside lot but prefer to stay inside during inclement weather.

  • Clean the barn!

  • @DImaNDBowMaDneSs Moron! Go gargle with clorox!

  • I've seen some of the Conklin clips. "Disgusted" doesn't even begin to cover it. I've been down to Panama, and the farmers there would be stunned if they saw what Conklin does. One of my Dad's best friends is a dairy farmer and I've never heard or seen him raise his voice or hand towards his wife, employees, barn cats, or cows. He has a similar setup to your place and lemme tell ya, I've never seen a happier bunch of cows. If something is your livelihood, you treat it like gold.

  • @annie4horses There were two guys causing all the problems at Conklins. The guy doing the abuse and the creep behind the camera. The person doing the filming was also the same person that slammed a Pennsylvania dairy that shipped to Land O Lakes. The owner, Gary Conklin, wasn't aware this was even going on which can and does happen on large farms. The owners/managers can't be everywhere at the same time. Anyway, thanks again for the compliments.

  • Why is it so dirty and why r there feet some where lay in mud and poo.

  • @SuperRainbowPride The video was taken during the winter. It was slightly warm during that day and the ground was a little soft.

  • u gotta see this documentry called food inc they had this guy/scientist who some how cut a hole in the side of a live cow nd seen its meat nd it was all rotted bc it was effected by e.coli nd let me tell u it was beyond stomac turning nd to think that meat gets into the meat u buy at the store nd he said they can still sell the meat if they spray it with this chemical that is suppost to kill the bacteria bt is still harmful to us humans nd cows

  • @fancigal OK..... I never said anything like that and, I actually agree with you.............. cows don't need a sterile environment to live in. It would actually more than likely stress them out to live like that.

  • @JustaWyomingGirl Just because this dairy isnt the lush green pastures and stainless steel people imagine never means that it is dirty, for one, there are seasons, and getting their all they need from pasture grass is just silly, and two, its clean shelter for them, i dont think the cows/heifers will care if their shelters arent super immaculate chrome! They care that it is clean and cool... clean is the main thing, dirty=infected udders, farmers NEVER want infected udders, that means no milk.
