A Michael Jackson impersonator lives alone in Paris and performs on the streets to make ends meet. At a performance in a retirement home, Michael falls for a beautiful Marilyn Monroe look-alike who suggests he move to a commune of impersonators in the Scottish Highlands. At the seaside castle, Michael discovers everyone preparing for the commune's first-ever gala - Abe Lincoln, Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Stooges, the Queen, the Pope, Madonna, Buckwheat, Sammy Davis, Jr... And also Marilyn's daughter Shirley Temple and her possessive husband Charlie Chaplin. Meanwhile, a miracle is happening somewhere in a Latin American jungle.

  • This is one of my favorite films. It's really sad what recognition it didn't get, but I felt like it was one that should have been shown in indie cinemas worldwide. The script is truly superb (it is based more on normal everyday life than having a big plot), and yet out of the dreamy nature of the film, it goes through every emotion and point possible. Even the ending did not stop revealing meanings until the very last sentence.

I've read that over an hour of footage was cut from the film =[.

  • @SamAndLauraShow

So, anything that seems dumb in the movie is "part of its darkness", eh? That's nice.

  • @SamAndLauraShow Yes, i totally agree with you. This film has an underlying message about the loneliness that comes with being a celebrity...this film expresses how isolated and distant most celebrities feel deep down. It's about the gap between celebrities and the "Real world". Example, when the old lady says, "Without you, we are nothing." Specifically referring to our fickle attractions to beautiful people.

  • sorry, but this trailer is cheese.

  • i really would love to kno when this comes out !!!!!!! someone anyone please let me know!!!!!!

  • When is this coming out?? I am SOOOO there!!!

  • beautiful film (movie)

    binito filme! perfeito

  • What an interesting idea for a movie! I'd love to see it.

As for this trailer making the film look cliched, well, you're right... but if the movie looked too "weird" at first glance, it would lose much of its potential audience. There's a balance there.
