Following his award-winning features "Koktebel" and "Simple Things," young Russian director Alexei Popogrebsky now delivers a visually stunning existentialist drama of survival, filmed entirely on location, at the easternmost tip of Russia.

I watched this film yesterday.

And I couldn't say a word for an hour after it.

And I am still so thrilled, that I'm thinkinking only about the film now.

This is the second Tarkovsky, really.

A film about people's fear and weakness. About fantastically beautiful Arktika, which kills weak people and saves life and mind of a man who lost everything in his life.

It is like Tarkovsky's Zone.

The film contains a very good humour, beauty and a great dramical story of people's madness.

This film just won the Best Film Award @ the BFI London Film Festival 2010!

Was a surprise to me, I was expecting Black Swan or 127 Hours

i would really like to get my hands on this film, it looks fantastic! - i can't understand the language at all, but the pictures are incredibly humerous but hold so much drama!

i WILL watch it one way or another, even if i had to travel the other side of the globe, it looks absolutely brilliant, and i congratulate it on its latest win at the London Film Festival!
