A series of clay and tempera monoprints currently on display in the Olympia Office of Lt. Governor Brad Owen by artist Nola V. Tresslar of Fircrest, Washington. Her "Healing Hearts" series was inspired by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Says the artist: "When I pulled the first print, I realized this was my response to the events of that sad day in history. All of our hearts were shaken, broken and torn apart. We will never be the same again, but we do move forward and we are all now in the process of having our hearts healed."
This brief video doesn't do much for the pieces on the wall. You can see them on her gallery page which helps with the coloring. Still a bit blah for me. One piece maybe would be okay, but several of the same theme tends to make them all a bit boring. This all from a non-artist, just a viewer so don't take my word for it. She seems nice and motivated.
