do i need to join the navy before being a seal, or can i just enlist as a seal u know without having to be a sailor first and stuff

@metalwaffle94 From what people have told me, it's best to get your rate first. Even if you pass buds, and the seal training, it's not guaranteed you'll be put on a team, so get a rate first. It's rare to go straight from boot camp to buds from what I was told, so you're going to have to do your rate in between.

@RachealLoves umm there is a law that says women cannot join spec ops units

however they can be in supporting roles and have recently put together their own semi-spec ops units, but the fact remains not enough women want to go into that and even fewer are physically conditioned for it.
