Eliminate Video Lag on YouTube

YouTube has changed the format to a HD which lets you upload larger files, which also makes your video lag if your connection is not fast enough.

seriously though, mines the same, allthough iplayer through the tv and nintendo wii is fine, it uses flash as well. Maybe flash is doing something internally which interupts the playback.

@babbatoots The videos are getting so huge on youtube now, you need a good internet connection even people with a fast pc have to sometimes pause the video for a minute and let it load a little bit first.

@zIProtege sounds like you have a slow internet problem, could be lose wires on your cable or a bad ethernet device, or just a slow internet provider.

@BetaFlux i noticed like since start of 2012 sometime after the new crappy youtube layout; videos are slower than before and it seems i could leave it loading and go have lunch and only some of it got loading you have to start watching and then magically it starts loading more only then; its like youutbe wont let it auto fully load probably bandwith games their playing try it and let me know your conclusions

The lag is actually caused by the speed of your processor, and video card. Your connection causes the video to do that crappy buffering thing where that white icon spins in a wheel......I have fast connection, but my desktop has a crappy video card. So the video lags in HD because the video card can't handle it all. Solution = Buy a new video card, or new laptop that can handle the strain......
