@mrwarmth51 Not everyone can be in Washington. Wall Street is symbolic, obviously. The fact that people are standing up all over the WORLD should be sending a pretty big message. The TRUE difference between now and the 60's is that we are UNITED under one common grievance, not divided into factions (i.e. feminists, free speech, civil rights, etc.).

@hwfcaboose Why don't you come take a math class at UC Berkeley and see how well you do. You wouldn't make it past the first hour. Glad you appreciate those who are standing up for the true rights of American Citizens. We should send people like you to Texas so they can execute you for your ignorance.

tis tis pigs you dont have a retirement fund so why fight the people

Idiot protestors and they're horrible math skills. Some tear gas should do the trick against a violent mob.

Up until the 80's unis were dirt cheap or free. Then the unis decided to "promote diversity" which was code for kicking out the white working class and replacing them with the 92% of the world's population that are "ethnic minorities." They then jacked the prices through the roof. Uncle Tom white liberals and the "minorites" didn't complain that this was unfair to the white working class. Now the rest of you can't afford to go either. Too bad. It's karma time. I hope tuition goes up higher.
"you are the 99%"
This is the best chant- This wasn't supposed to be about students against the police. Their brutality towards peaceful protesters draws attention away from the initial issues of the Occupy Cal movement, at least in the eyes of the media and whoever is watching in the nation. If I'm not mistaken, this protest was (mainly) against the privatization of the UC system, especially regarding the proposed fee increases . It's a shame and a tragedy that this violence took place
