UPDATE!! I'm not in the show I talk about in this video anymore. Long story involving stuff at home so no details. :P Lo siento. Also: I'm definitely moving, and I'm sad about it. :(

What I could've just written instead of taking 6 minutes of your time to say out loud:

Nose Rings: I have some that are dumb.

Theatre: "Cute girl in farce" vs "I'm almost old enough to start playing moms, and too thick waisted and acne riddled to play a young trollop"

Moving: I might be doing it soon.

  • For a long time I felt that way about nose rings (the hoop type), and then I saw a girl with one and I just had to get one myself. I wear it constantly, I take it out when I'm working in schools (I wear nothing then, I always accidentally wipe my nose and send studs flying...so I don't have any studs or spacers left)

I don't know, I don't think it makes me look punky, but maybe people feel differently.

  • Yeah- I think it depends a lot on how you wear it. On some people it looks punky, on others-- on others I don't even notice the hoop until the 2nd or 3rd time I see it. It's just so natural on some people.

I think I've just gotten so casual in how I dress over the past couple years that *any* personal adornment visible from more than 10' away feels... heavy.

  • Also? Love your username.

  • You could always wear fantastic masks. I just turned 25 and have started breaking out last month.. so maybe it IS something you do in your late 20's.

  • Masks! *smacks forehead* Of course! lol!

  • Haha, aw .. your such a doll. I'm the same way when it comes to my skin.

When I first got my nose pierced, I had this same problem. The L-shape stud is always going to be uncomfy, it has a tendency to get stuck on the inside of your nostril and you have to grind/twist to get it out. Hoops, I only prefer captive hoops, not the solid hoops. They seem to fit better. I once got a 3 pack like that from Hot Topic. Bad idea. It got STUCK and I swear, I can't believe I got it out ... lol.

  • I find I don't mind an L as long as it's plastic and bendable, or a solid L that's not too long. In general, though, I prefer a short post with as small of a *bump* as possible. I've yet to try one of the screw type posts. I hear they're the easiest to insert and remove...

  • I've tried about everything that will fit in your nose, haha. I'm not much for the screw type, just because - you literally have to screw it in. I like a short, slim stud with a small ball. I find the bigger the ball at the end, the harder it is to get out. I made that mistake more than once ... lol.

You should move near me! Haha, I'm kidding. I wouldn't suggest anyone moving to KY, unless they really wanted to be a farmer or coal miner. Bleh.
