The brush stylus that comes with this game does not add pressure sensitivity; You can use the DS stylus in the same way.

@KunaiYouki 2 main reasons i can think are: 1* small markets. even if you think world-scale, people learning japanese who ALSO own a ds AND would buy this kind, are not that many. and 2* this is practice software, more than teaching. you see japanese ppl practicing their writing, memory, or numbers from time to time on the train and such.

again, this is what I think are the main reasons.

Could you set it so you only practice the Chinese characters? Does it allow you to practice semi-cursive? Writing Chinese beautifully is pleasurable but pen and paper are not always on hand. This game has a good concept. Unfortunately, this game seems to be oriented toward kids and I'm not at all impressed with the aesthetics. It should be named "How not to write ugly characters" rather than "Beautiful Character Training". But it's a nice start. There should be more games like it.

Do you have any idea why none of the games that have been made to teach people how to write in Japanese have not had the directions for them translated yet? I learn by doing things, so unless they have the directions in English, the games are of no use to me...XC But I don't want to learn the wrong stroke order, so I'm kind of in a pinch here...Do you happen to know if they have released anything for the DS for teaching how to write in Japanese with directions in other languages?
