@Acks2000 Yeah, I understand. It's typical Hollywood. Better to seem in power and in control of your career then to appear impotent. I'm certain at the time, and probably up until recent years, Terry herself told people it was 'her choice', etc. But if you asked her today, she'd probably tell you the truth. It's the same deal with Megan Fox not returning to the next Transformers. Her side says it was her 'choice', etc, but in reality it was the producers and Michael Bay not wanting her to return

@insaneapples Paramount didnt want her coming back, after she had decided to leave, thats what i meant. the 90's, yea dude i was there when Star Trek was still good. trust me i know it happened the way i said, i found out at the time. don't know what IMDB is sayin...anyways always good to converse with a Trekker. peace

@Acks2000 IMDB and a lot of other sources would disagree with you. Paramount didn't want her on DS9 anymore. This was the 90's dude, Star Trek was BIG. Nobody would ditch that to go join some pilot sitcom. Doesn't make sense. Her contract was up and they were like "see ya", same thing when her contract for Becker was up. She didn't want to be killed off Star Trek either, and begged the producers not to.

no my good man...sorry but you are completely wrong.

she wanted to leave, thought Becker would be big, joined it and thats why she was killed off...star trek never wanted her back, unfortunately...all ds9 cast had a fixed 6 year contract and all except her renegotiated for the final season.

Becker was a great show, but they were complete idiots firing Farrell. The cast had chemistry, would Seinfeld have fired Elaine? Idiots, the show lasted one more season because some idiot's ego was knocked out of joint.
