Not so, Joseph was an old man, not interested in marriage, Mary fell to him by lottery from the synagogue school for girls where she lived, when Mary came of age shortly after both her parents (Joaquin and Ann) died of old age(Mary was a miricle baby too), it was his duty to accept her for wife. Joseph and Mary were not young lovers, Joseph was a widower with grown children of his own, sons and daughters, he died 15 years after that of old age when Jesus was 14.
