  • i laughed when i saw that- if anyone would do that, it would be him. i'm sure it was getting dangerous, but it kinda came off prima-donnaish. didn't see mike bettes being like that when he was blown over...he laughed and kept going.

  • and then he went into the van.

  • I'm just guessing that those who made the negative comments didn't notice the gazebo Jim was under blowing back and forth as though it was just barely staying upright. I'd have wanted out of there too.

  • We meet again 240p....

  • lol? how does this make him a doofus. if being smart and caring about you and your fellow cameraman's lives is being a doofus, then shit, im dumb as fuck.

  • douchebag

  • i live right next to 3:07 this flooded our house, we had app 5 ft of water

  • Jim is a great meteorologist, if it was for Forbes, hed be the best in the country.. He knows when it's not safe that's what happened, but I did get get mad this night, he could have relocated, he never did. Oh well. It's just 58 mph gusts

  • @yourweathertodayHD I'd LOVE to be out there. Gimme a sat truck, camera crew, and a microphone. :)

  • You know it's bad when Cantore stops in the middle of a broadcast.

  • When Ike hit, it hit at the wrong time and the wrong place. The location being the Houston Shipping channel, with miles of flats behind it. The time being a full moon peak tide driven +2 feet above normal tides. Landfall happened at 1AM, the peak tide at 2 to 3AM.. This was the worst timing any storm could have on any location. Initial landfall was to be Corpus Christi, and they could have taken it better than Galveston did.

  • Does anyone know where the video is when he tied himself to the poll?
