John Jeremiah, nationally accomplished key-Boardist, (featured in this video) died this morning 12-5-2011 at 8:55am, in Chester, Illinois. He leaves a loving wife Eva and one son. He and his Brother Jim Jeremiah, our sax player and close friend, have played music since they were young. John had 7 albums to his credit, played with the Greats such as Aliotta, Haynes and Jeremiah, The Rotory Connection, Minnie Ripperton, Howling Wolf, Chuck Berry and many more.

John was a 70's icon, living with Janis Joplin for a time and other 60's musical acts. Three Dog Night, sang a song about John, "....Jeremiah was a Bullfrog, was a good friend of mine, never understood a word he said, but I helped him drink his wine...." John played the Chicago scene for many years, associating with some of the most famous musicians in the world. Recently, John also thrilled Southern Illinois audiences with his unique style of playing and singing...often being interrupted by a fan to sign an autograph.

Bob and I met John Jeremiah and his Brother Jim Jeremiah in a southern Illinois club several years ago. I didn't know who John was, but I was immediately drawn to his unique style of playing his keyboard and Jim's Sax. I asked if we could play with them sometime and from that time on, we all became friends. I am proud to have known John and we are going to miss him. Jim asked me to put something up on Youtube this morning, in memory of his Brother John...it is my Honor.. I remember one of the first thing you said to me Jim, when we first met, "John and I started out playing together and we're going to end up playing together."---You did your job Jim--As his big brother, you protected him all his life and you did a good job.

Rest in Peace Brother John. I'm sure Chicago is playing one of your national hits right now, (Lake Shore Drive)---They've been playing it for 35 years now.
