Woodchopping - Ivor Thomas & Shane Jordan - Jarrahdale

Ivor Thomas (2nd on right) and Shane Jordan (on right) competing in the 300mm standing block event at the Jarrahdale Log Chop on the 5th of October, 2008. Ivor has been a member of the New Zealand Axemen's Team in the past and has won several New Zealand championships. This was his first day back competing after an 18 month absence from the sport. Shane is a current member of the New Zealand Axemen's Team and won an Australian championship at the 2008 Perth Royal Show. The wood being cut is Jarrah, which is a native Australian hardwood.
