@sanpra1989 : Thanks. I don't the know which is the "right" one. That too seams reasonable. My initial thoughts was on the lines of... a child is who continues the mother, her thoughts, her feelings, her life and her genes too, so that way imparting immortality to what the mother stood for and thus for the mother herself. But I could be wrong. :)

@nirvana4ol jolly gud..:) but i think, going by the story line, "amrithu" doesn't mean immortality, rather, it means bringing her back to life. coz it's about a mother who lost her child...
