I am not a coach but i did observe a couple of things about him:

1. He definitely needs to use his left hand a bit more. will generate more pace

2. really good to see someone who bowls close from the wicket

3. good wicket to wicket bowling but can definitely improve

4. should try to bowl more yorkers and slower balls

i think India should approach allan donald for a bowling coach position and identify 4-5 guys (him, deepak chahar is another one but hes more into swing) 2 work with him

it is not easy to bowl fast.needs mind,body structure,mode of delivery,natural instincts and adequate practise.any mode of action within leagal limits are accepted by experts.best wishes and don't be a person among those who could bowl genuine fast and never got a chance to higher levels.illeffects from envied people can expect.india is yet to make a genuine consistand fast bowler. jeff thommo's balls hits site screen on full after pitching-wisden-means above 170km/hr.me above 147km/hr at age46

Varun aaron's speed can be really improved he needs a coach like wasim akram or he can take tips from shoaib akhtar. i think he can be faster by running a bit faster and taking bigger strides.

Yes, that's what my funda is for picking a fast bowler for India(whether its right or wrong), He should be at least 6' tall or either he should be able to bowl minimum 87 mph or 140 k. Coz a tall bowler with decent pace will get bounce on any wicket but a short bowler needs pace for sure.

:Praveen Kumar is a very good swing bowler.70-80 mph is fine for swing bowlers.He wouldn't pick up so many wickets in tests & ODIs if he was a shit bowler.

Vinay is not slow.He is india's designated seam bowler.His pace is around 80-85mph.He does bowl some fine seaming deliveries but for a hit the deck kind of bowler he needed to be atleast 3-4 inches taller or bowl 85-90mph.

Otherwise he'll continue to get clobbered in the death overs often & every now & then even with the new ball.
