TYPE OF WIRE I USED:
Since almost every message I get on YouTube, or Instructables is what kind I wire I used, here it is: I don't know. I just found the wire in my house, and it's very thin. You can use any thickness you like because sound isn't going though these wires. Noise isn't a problem. Just make sure that if you are putting the wires under the metal casing, make sure the wires are thin enough to fit through the very thin gap.

If you're not ready to drill up your guitar for a kill switch, or you just want to see what the big deal is with them, try this.

Yeah, I know my guitar playing wasn't that great.

  • brother thank you very much i just made mine and it works perfect

  • Tune your guitar dude!

  • Isnt it just easier to buy a Killswitch from ebay? 12.00$

  • in Canada, all these parts he's talking about are SO expensive $5.99 for the button, $5.99 for the project box...

  • Of course he plays jordan

  • Your side note on that button is incorrect, Buckethead uses two arcade style red buttons that are integrated professionally on his white les paul custom, one on top near the straplock and one on bottom near the volume knobs

  • it works but the killswitch you used looks more like a cross street signal button

  • The only question I would have about this would be......why make it removable? I don't see the point. I guess you could use it on other guitars, but that's just silly. the switch is only $5 and installing it takes less than 5 minutes.
