John Cale and Nico were the two great talents of the Velvet Underground. Lou Reed was a secondary talent who got rid of everyone that he sensed overshadowed him.

@NowIamheretoo depends which meaning you take from it, most of the covers focus on the sad aspects but if you listen to Cohen's it's actually quite empowering and sexual.

Hard to beleive, but I first heard this song on Cale's live album, so his voice will always sound 'right' to me. Pretty awsome piano on that version, tho the strings are nice too..
