My review of the film: "Spaghetti Western Front"

Just got home from a screening of Inglourious Basterds at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco. Quentin Tarantino was in attendance to introduce the film and did a full Q&A afterward.

Shot above someone's head, so pardon the shaky cam.

  • was it really that dark in there or was it the ZS3?

  • You've posted this question on many of my videos.

This is not an easy question to answer! Scientifically, I do not know how many lumens I was dealing with. Was it dark? That is subjective. I would say it was absolutely low light. Also, I had to zoom in; the more you zoom in the more light content matters. At the end I was at the back of the theater zoomed in 12X and it is noticeably more degraded.

  • If you ask, "How does the ZS3 fair in low light?" then the answer is along the lines of:

"For a compact point'n'shoot with a 12x zoom it does very well in low light conditions, but is no DSLR. Then again, it isn't a DSLR."
