college days. 2003. Avril Lavigne is the only one who can match up Michelle's talent hahaha anyone agree??? Taylor Swift writes the same stuff over and over again. About boys, breakup, etc. While Avril and Michelle writes different things. Plus Taylor's vocal ability can't defeat either Avril or Michelle especially the Live PERFORMANCES. Don't worry I like Taylor too, Kudos to her writing her own songs.

For me, it's not the question of genres. It comes down to lyrics and maturity for me. I think Taylor and Michelle are both established vocalists (and I like them both) and guitarists, but Taylor's lyrics/music appeal to a younger market, while Michelle's music explores a young woman maturing into adulthood. her music is decidedly older, raw and almost blunt. They both have talent, the question is what do *they* want to say with their music.
