Who needs to go abroad on an adventure biking holiday when the roads, weather and people of the UK can be this good? These adventure bikes made every bit of our 2-day 640-mile road trip to the Scottish Borders a blast. Watch the video to see if the new Yamaha Super Tenere has what it takes to cut it in the competitive adventure bike class.

  • Obviously you lard assed Pomms are too used to your lazy weekend rides on tarmac.

Would I take the Multistrada on a river crossing....no!....would I take it for a couple of days through the desert or across the outback....I don't think so.

If there was a motorised lounge chair in the mix you probably would have voted it best.

    Adventure riding my ass!

  • where's the gravel, mud and sand? I'm sure the KTM would crush the others if you did some real adventure riding.

  • @w3media YIP, some people,to this day, still just dont know the difference between adventure and tour

  • @cealtun don't know what your problem is. but same to you fuckwit!

  • @w3media do you live in Sahara Desert or Ren River?

    So fuck off.

  • @fotokitdirect no I didn't "miss that completely"...that's my whole point! Why would you test a bunch of Dual sport bikes and not take them off tarmac? I've ridden all of those bikes long distance at highway speeds, through bush and scrub, over sand, desert and through rivers and mud. Of these four bikes, the one I would never buy for true Adventure riding is the one they are saying is the best....and I know they are only saying that because they never took it off road.

  • @w3media Thats not what the review was asking of these bikes, clearly. You just missed that completely.

  • 640 mile of tarmac... you really need 15k 1200cc bike? next time compare them against a kymco scooter....

  • This is like testing scuba-diving equipment in the bathtub....

  • first time iv ever heard the sentence(ktm is the least expensive) lol

  • Adventure is everything as you would expect adventure on road and off road, the BMW is the best all rounder in my opinion it will outlast ALL of the other bikes and it will still be kicking long after its owner even with neglect its shaft drive, less power but more reliable, no chain problems, your screwed if your chain breaks up in the middle of no where because you are adventuring.

  • Wrong wrong wrong the Ducati is a road bike, take it off road and see how it performs, how many Ducatis finished Dakar this year. none because it can't go off road.
