Plus'Serious' Charge Dropped in S.C. School Plot'Serious' Charge Dropped in S.C. School PlotThe Associated PressA federal grand jury has indicted a South Carolina teenager accused of plotting to blow up his high school on three explosives charges. But 18-year-old Ryan Schallenberger no longer faces a potential life sentence. (May 27)He was a student with a straight 'A' record---but now faces a long list of criminal charges...18-year-old Ryan Schallenberger (SHAL'-en-bur-gur) is accused of plotting to blow up his high school. He was indicted Tuesday on three federal charges--but *no longer* faces a more serious charge---that carried a possible life sentence. Prosecutors dropped a charge of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction.Schallenberger still faces three explosive charges that carry a combined maximum sentence of 40 years in prison. Earlier this year---the South Carolina teen was examined by a psychiatrist and found competent to stand trial. Prosecutors had earlier argued he should be evaluated after telling the sheriff -- quote -- "he wanted to die and go to heaven and once he got there, he wanted to kill Jesus." The teenager was arrested in April after his parents picked up a package addressed to him containing 20 pounds of ammonium nitrate...and then notified police. When officials searched Schallenberger's home--- they found bomb making material, as well as a journal with notes on explosives he'd experimented with ---- and his praise for the Columbine killers.Defense attorneys have requested that the journal be sealed during the trial. ___ ___, The Associated Press.(****END****) ANCHOR VOICE: Mike Gracia-------------------------VIDEO PRODUCER: Michael Waldon ------------------------------VIDEO SOURCE: AP Photos and Stringer Video --------------------------VIDEO APPROVAL: Donna Starddard

I know your comment is 2 month old but just wanna say.

You cant possibly blame the parents on everything by now you should know that everyone keeps secrets.

This person felt shame about something and wanted to take out his anger on the school.

But your right at least the parents probably didn't raised him right like any parent should.

Reserve your judgment until you get the full story this video didnt even close gave a full story because it was only 1 min and 9 seconds long.

  • @kidglittershxck:

Exactly people judge other without knowing whats really going on. They dont even know this person and other people are just plain stupid judging a person as if they even know him.

And the media only report much less then half of the whole story.

Thats why i think of reasons as to why people do things like this i just dont judge them right away until i get full understanding.

Usually getting the full understanding might take years.

Your absolutely right on the account.
