@missbitch67 Thanks so much for the info! Randy had a comment that has been on his Facebook biography for awhile that he was working on the latest 'Steve Perry Project', but he hasn't responded to requests for more info. They had such a successful collaboration on Street Talk that I wish he or someone could light a fire under Steve to actually record the demo music he said in January and in other interviews that he has. Other older artists, like Sade, Mavis Staples, etc. do it-so can SP!!

@gluchnurse This was 1984 & it was during the time street talk was being recorded,Randy Goodrum is in the background laughing.

I bet you that ever bryan in the world was like yeah Steve called me a dick lol !!!
@solateado-any idea what year this was? Just wondering due to the vocal quality of Steve then. He sounds wonderful in that lower range-one reason why Trial By Fire is perhaps my favorite album-love the high stuff, but love the soulful, smoky, R&B flavor of his lower registers even more.

@gluchnurse
If memory serves me right, and the memory isn't what it use to be I believe he did this in the later part of the 80's Perhaps 85-87 somewhere. Yes, I love Trial by Fire also, but then I also loved ROR too. His registry could be down in the basement and I would still love the quality and his vocals, even that raspyness that crept in after so many years of wear and tear on the chords!
