Moving Day: A FatWallet Documentary

FatWallet moves its entire company from Illinois to Wisconsin as a result of a new Illinois Internet Tax law. The law would have caused the popular coupon site to lose about 30% of its revenues (FatWallet, http://www.fatwallet.com, publishes coupons and offers from HP, Amazon, Walmart and hundreds of other online retailers). Fox Business News provided live coverage of the move across the state border as employees paraded 5 miles north on April 8, 2011. This documentary captures that day, the people that were affected and the success of a great workplace culture coming together in crisis.

Its funny how states forget that the UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT ruled that ALL internet tax is unconstitutional and illegal. How is it that these states are getting away with this? Internet Sales Tax is unconstitutional!!! The USSC said so.

I'm also an IL resident who has built a decent size internet business and with this law passing plus IL raising state income tax, I'm getting the EFF out!! Signed my contracts today and will be moving everything out in 60 days to a place that allows affiliate income and has 0% state income tax!!! Actions speak louder than words! If they don't want to listen to us, then they can stare at my a** as I cross the state lines!
