I always dug this song. But now that I paid some attention to the lyrics, its a brilliant gem. Paints a picture like a scene from a movie. Brings tears. Most people wouldnt know from the title.

i had the drummer kenny aronoff sign my copy of lonesome jubilee he is a awesome guy to meet in person. i would love to meet mellencamp in person that would be sweet. i meant people that know him or went to school with him i meant his band members but not john mellencamp yet, hopefully someday
