Stumbled upon this oddity. If you pitch shift the song Imaginary Lover up 2 semi-tones the vocals magically transform into Stevie Nicks. Listen for yourself! Very cool.

  • When this song came out, there was actually a radio station that played it at the higher speed & was hyping it up AS Stevie Nick's new song. That may have been a story segment on American Top 40 with Kasey Kasem

  • @Dnthmdmn Wow, that's crazy. Thanks for the info. I'm going to research that somehow.

  • Hey do ya think you can put Georgia Rhythm up on your channel? One of my favorites and hardly heard let alone played. So lets lay down a backbeat crank up the trusty Gibson one more time in Ronnie Hammond's memory 1 more time. RIP

  • @luvtotruck Thanks for listening and for the suggestion. Georgia Rhythm is a great tune from a great band. :)

  • Oh wow...that is amazing. It's freaky, too, because the song "Call Me" was written for Stevie Nicks, but she turned it down b/c it was too suggestive. It was then given to Deborah Harry and well, it sky rocketed as we all know. Anyway, "Imaginary Lover" would never be sung by Stevie Nicks, and that makes it doubly freaky to sound so close.

  • @nahnni Thanks for the comment. Very interesting re: "Call Me". I did not know that.

  • Now that you mention it, this does have a Stevie Nicks vibe to it, even at the normal speed.

  • Sooo kewl ... Great ears !!! Even has some of her "Stevie-isms" ... WoW !!! Great ear!

  • @ElevenBravo - You are my hero!

  • @ElevenBravo - I have Cubase, so I'm going to work on this tomorrow. I'm going to add it to my Stevie Nicks list on my iPod. I can't stop listening to it. This would have been such a huge Fleetwood Mac hit, had they done it.
