  • overly complicated reciculating, flood tables which for some reason incorporating dwc.

  • It's a simple solution to convert a flood tray and reservoir into a recirculating high performance raft system.

    Z

  • so is this "modified raft" a recirculating DWC type .... is the res pump constantly running flooding the tables

  • Yes, basically creating a hybrid dwc/nft system.

  • This is gr8 stuff!!

I would love to see you do a Dutch Pot Aro vid with Sure2Grow

    GROW UR OWN YALL! ;O)

  • I take a look at it...i have some dutchs sitting around and i haven't done a leach system in a while. No promises but definitely a solid suggestion.

    Peace,

  • The way you hook up your air stones seem to be in series. If this is correct, where can I get those airstones that have an entrance and an exit?

  • Several Questions re 4x4 tray and 70 gal reservoir. Planning to use 3.75" Alita disc diffusers: 16 in tray and 8 in reservoir:

    - What capacity pump(s) should I use and how is pump capacity determined???

    - Any hints as to how to calculate number of discs/stones to use?

    - How should I attach the "white poly flim" to the underside of the raft? Tape?

    - What size STG insert do you recommend for 5" net pot?

  • 92billz,

My ideal calculation for that size vessel is as follows: 40 liters = 10.566 gallons

10.566 x 20 liters per gallon= ~200 liters per minute. (2) 100 liters per minute pumps would be ideal however if your tote is relatively tall as opposed to shallow and wide, you can drop that 20 liter value to something closer to 12-15. This would mean that you would need to displace ~125-155 liters per minute. If you are using a synthetic salt based program switch your reservoir every 7 to 10 day
